HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, then it takes over.

  1. 1

    Add the vehicle

Plate, model and the dates you already have.

  2. 2

    Fleetly reminds you

Thirty days before, in the app and on your phone.

  3. 3

    Mark it “paid”

The new date is set by the rule, not by you.

WHY IT MATTERS

This is what a forgotten date costs in Italy.

OVERDUE INSPECTION

€173 to €694

The vehicle is suspended from use on public roads until the inspection (revisione) is done.

If the inspection has been skipped more than once against the required intervals, the fine doubles: €346 to €1,388.

Art. 80, Italian Highway Code (Codice della Strada)

EXPIRED INSURANCE

€866 to €3,464

The vehicle is impounded on the spot, with a view to confiscation.

Doing it twice within two years also brings a one-to-two-month driving licence suspension.

Art. 193, Italian Highway Code (Codice della Strada)

UNPAID CAR TAX

30 %

of the amount due

Plus statutory interest, and enforced collection if the notice is not paid.

Voluntary correction (ravvedimento operoso) reduces the penalty in proportion to the delay, if you pay before an assessment.

Penalty for late payment of the regional vehicle tax (bollo auto)

Amounts checked on 31 August 2026 against the provisions cited. Fleetly reminds you of deadlines; it is not a substitute for legal advice.

TODAY

Excel does not remind you.

The dates are there. Nobody tells you.

Fleetly tells you thirty days before.

THE DETAILS

Five things you only notice after a year of use.

The car tax rule everyone gets wrong

Car tax and insurance restart from the previous expiry, not from the day you pay: paying late does not move the anniversary.

Readable registration photos that do not fill your storage

Bad compression makes the plate and chassis number unreadable — the only reason for the photo. Fleetly finds the highest quality that fits the budget.

What that vehicle really costs, per kilometre

Every job is an entry with its date and amount. Costs are recalculated from the data every time, so they cannot drift from what you recorded.

Ranking
which vehicle costs most

The driver navigates, the company gets the report. Not the location.

The route is calculated on the truck profile and rerouted if the driver leaves it. On arrival the phone sends the report: kilometres, detours, driving times. Never the coordinates.

Kilometres follow the set of tyres, not the vehicle

Counting “since the last change” on the vehicle resets the total at every seasonal swap. Fleetly rebuilds each set from the fitting records and adds up its kilometres.

DO THE MATHS

What it costs to keep your fleet compliant.

Above 30 vehicles Pro is not enough and you need Unlimited, which has no cap.

FLEETLY PRO, PER YEAR

€490+ VAT

per vehicle per year. The fee is per licence: it does not change when you add a vehicle.

ONE MISSED DEADLINE

from €173

That is the minimum fine for an overdue roadworthiness inspection (revisione), before counting the vehicle being taken off the road. It takes in a year to cost more than Fleetly.

ADMIN TIME

hours per year

Time that today goes into manual Excel checks, reminders and phone calls to the garage.

How it is calculated: Pro yearly fee of €490 (€49/month if billed monthly), excl. VAT, valid for up to 30 vehicles and 5 users. The fine is the minimum set by art. 80 of the Italian Highway Code (Codice della Strada) for an overdue inspection. Admin time assumes 20 minutes per vehicle per month: a cautious estimate, not a measurement of your company.

THE REAL QUESTIONS

What people ask before paying.

Can I start free and move to Pro without losing my work?

Yes, that is the intended path. Moving up is a plan change on the same licence: the vehicles, dates and history you already entered stay where they are. The app listens to the licence, so the extra features appear by themselves, with no reinstall and no new login.

What happens if I do not renew the subscription?

The fleet stays viewable: you can open the app and see every vehicle, deadline and document. What is locked is editing, until you renew. We do not shut you out of your own data — that would be a hostage, not a subscription.

Do I need to install anything in the vehicles?

No. Fleetly is not a telematics system: no black box, no wiring, no per-device fee. It works on the vehicle's administrative data, which is what leads to fines and vehicles being taken off the road.

Is the app in English?

Not yet: the application interface is in Italian. The deadlines it tracks have Italian names (revisione, assicurazione, bollo, tagliando) because they are Italian obligations, and this site explains each of them in English.

How many people can work on the same fleet?

Five with Pro, ten with Unlimited — plus twenty-five drivers, who sign in with their own login and only see the trips assigned to them. These are not separate copies: everyone sees and updates the same vehicles, so the workshop and the office look at the same data at the same time.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes: there is an app for Android and iOS, a desktop version for Windows and macOS, and it installs as an app from the browser. All three on the same licence, at no extra cost. In the office you work on a monitor, on the road you check a plate from your phone.

What about GPS?

On Unlimited there is GPS, but it works for the driver: on their phone it runs the navigation, reroutes when they leave the road, and on arrival fills in the end-of-trip report — actual kilometres, detours, driving times. The location is not recorded and never reaches the company. What does not exist yet is tracking for the company, meaning a map with vehicles moving: it is announced on Unlimited but not released, and we say so before purchase, not after. When it comes, note that under Italian law locating vehicles assigned to employees requires a union agreement or authorisation from the Labour Inspectorate (art. 4 of the Workers' Statute): a real obligation, not a switch to flip.
