TRIPS AND NAVIGATION

Trips for drivers, truck-aware navigation, a report at the end.

The driver navigates on their phone, the company gets the report: kilometres, detours, driving times. Never the coordinates.

AVAILABLE ONUnlimited plan only: up to 25 drivers with their own login.

HOW IT WORKS

What it does, point by point.

The right route for the vehicle

The route is calculated on the vehicle profile: weight, height, width, length, ADR dangerous goods, and tolls, motorways and ferries can be avoided. What the routing cannot model — a height over 4.1 metres, a mass over 40 tonnes — becomes a warning, not silence.

Stops spread along the road

The administrator picks how many stops, and Fleetly places them at equal distances along the actual route, not as the crow flies. The driver is alerted at each stop.

Navigation on the driver’s phone

A map that rotates with the direction of travel, turn-by-turn instructions with voice, rerouting when the driver leaves the route. The phone app keeps following the trip with the screen locked.

The report on arrival, with no coordinates

On arrival the phone sends the report: planned and actual kilometres, how much of the approved route was followed, detours, signal quality and driving and rest times with an indicative check against Regulation (EC) 561/2006. Departure, stops and arrival sit in a log nobody can rewrite, the company included.

LIMITS

What it does not do.

Stated before you sign up, not discovered after.

  • The driver’s location is not recorded and never reaches the company. The only point that leaves the phone is the one sent to recalculate the route, and it is not stored.
  • The driving-time check is an indicative calculation from the phone GPS: it does not replace the tachograph.
  • A live tracking map for the company is announced on Unlimited and not yet released. On vehicles assigned to employees, Italian law will require a union agreement or Labour Inspectorate authorisation (art. 4 of the Workers’ Statute).
  • The app interface, driver app included, is in Italian.

QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions.

Does the navigation record the driver’s location?

No. The GPS serves the map and navigation on the phone. The company receives the trip log and the end-of-trip report, made of kilometres and times, with no coordinates.

Does the driving-time check replace the tachograph?

No. It is an indicative check built from the phone’s movement, useful to know when to stop and to see who rests less than required between trips. The tachograph remains the legal record.

Do drivers use office user seats?

No. Unlimited has 10 office seats and 25 driver seats, kept separate. Drivers sign in with credentials issued by the company and only see the trips assigned to them.
